Rulers of the Planet are an Irish punk-rock band based in Cork. They are currently signed to German label ZYX.[1]
Their debut album "In 30 Minutes We Destroy the Earth" was received positively by critics (‘Album of the Week’ – Irish Independent, 9/10 – Hot Press).. A second album, "Disco Boogie for Death Rockers" was released in 2007.
Two founder members of the group, Mick Hayes and Niall Lynch, were previously part of 1990s punk-rock band The Shanks (alongside Eoin "Stan" O'Sullivan, who later formed Stanley Super 800).
